HIGH-INTENSITY INTERMITTENT TRAINING
Through P2 Personal Training, High-Intensity Intermittent Training or interval exercise (HIIT) has become a popular form of exercise for athletes, ordinary people and patients with degenerative diseases.
Austrian researchers from the University of Graz identified many forms of HIIT that could render different training effects. Some, such as fartlek, involve changes of pace during exercise with no break. Others involve intervals with or without full recovery. Short or no recovery is more metabolically taxing, while full recovery allows increased power output. Exercise prescription involving HIIt should consider the physical load during exercise and the desired outcome.
What is an HIIT workout?
HIIT uses short bursts of intense exercise to achieve better fitness and athletic performance. Through P2 Personal Training HIIT workouts can be very effective for all age groups and ability levels.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has become a popular way to burn more fat, improve endurance, and build strength. It's a training method that has been effective for many people.
HIIT can be applied to running or to exercises such a squatting. HIIT is considered to be much more effective than normal cardio because the intensity is higher and you are able to increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance while burning more fat than ever before.
"In research, HIIT has been shown to burn adipose tissue more effectively than low-intensity exercise" – up to 50% more metabolism which helps you burn more calories though out the day.
P2 Personal Trainers will put together an HIIT program that will work for your personal fitness needs.blog comments powered by Disqus
